For two filmmakers, one of us Swedish and the other American, two artists who work with food as well as play with their food was an irresistible subject. So we went to the small French village where they were working one summer to document them creating several “dining events”. 

However, as we witnessed their processes and results, we realized that instead of straight documentation, we had to make a film that expressed – in form, mood, sound and palette – the spirit of their art: dynamic, playful, provocative, sound-filled, sometimes complex, yet... well, easy to digest. 

Over the next year, in dialogue with Oka and Fitch, we began to view their work through the lens of five powerful feelings, starting with the physical, encompassing the emotional, and culminating in the spiritual.
